The Operations and Technology Management (OTM) department at the Wisconsin School of Business focuses on the development of systems, procedures, and strategies that guide the efficient operation of goods and service production and delivery. The department benefits tremendously from its close relationship with a manufacturing engineering program ranked among the top ten by U.S. News & World Report.

At the undergraduate level, students can major in Operations Technology Management (OTM) or Information Systems (IS). At the graduate level the Erdman Center supports the Operations & Technology Management MBA specialization.

OTM’s faculty includes experts in the following areas: auction and competitive bidding, e-business strategy, health care operations management, IT-enabled business transformation, lean work organizations, market efficiency, online consumer behavior, operations and supply chain management, process design, process improvement, and sustainability.

OTM maintains connections with the Grainger Center for Supply Chain Management as well. The Wisconsin School of Business has been ranked number 16 in supply chain management by U.S. News & World Report.
