Greg DeCroix

Gregory A. DeCroix

Greg DeCroix is associate professor of operations and information management and holds the Wisconsin Naming Partnership Professorship in Operations in the Wisconsin School of Business. Prior to joining the Wisconsin faculty, Greg served on the faculties of the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and the University of Washington. Greg received a BA/BS degree from Miami University in mathematics and statistics and a PhD in operations research from Stanford University. His research focuses on supply chain management, with a particular emphasis on decentralized decision making in supply chains and the impact of environmental issues on supply chain management. His work has appeared in Management Science, Operations Research, Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, Naval Research Logistics, European Journal of Operational Research, and IIE Transactions.

Jan Heide

Jan B. Heide

Jan Heide is Irwin Maier Chair in Marketing in the Wisconsin School of Business. He received his PhD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He also holds an MBA degree from Wisconsin and a BS degree from the Norwegian School of Management.  Prior to joining Wisconsin’s Marketing Department, Jan was a faculty member at Case Western Reserve University. His primary research interests are distribution systems, distribution channel relationships, strategic partnerships, and vertical market restrictions. His research has been published in the Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Marketing, the Academy of Management Journal, the Journal of Law, Economics and Organization, and the Academy of Management Review. He serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Retailing, Marketing Science, and Journal of Business-to-Business Marketing. He is a former Associate Editor for the Journal of Marketing Research. He has twice won the Outstanding Reviewer Award from the Journal of Marketing.

Jan has taught in a number of executive development programs on the topics of distribution channel strategy and partnerships. He recently won a University of Wisconsin system–level Excellence in Teaching Award and was named a Vilas Associate of the UW Graduate School. One of his recent articles received the Journal of Marketing’s Harold H. Maynard Award for its significant contribution to marketing theory and thought. Three of his articles have won the American Marketing Association’s Louis W. Stern Award for the outstanding article on marketing channels and distribution.

Peter Lukszys

Peter B. Lukszys

Pete Lukszys is senior lecturer in the Marketing Department at the Wisconsin School of Business and director of applied projects in the Grainger Center for Supply Chain Management. Pete teaches MBA, undergraduate, and executive education courses at Wisconsin. Pete developed two courses in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and Logistics Management, which he teaches as part of the Grainger Center curriculum. Pete is the SAP University Alliance faculty liaison. In 2009, he was instrumental in implementing SAP enterprise software at the School of Business for educational use. His areas of expertise are global logistics, ERP system implementation, and inventory management. He began teaching at the School of Business in 2004.

Prior to his move to academia, Pete worked at Abbott Laboratories and EMD Chemicals, the North American affiliate of MERCK, KGaA, where he held the positions of senior director supply chain management, director of global logistics, and SAP project leader. In his role as SAP project leader, he led a team of over 100 employees in a successful business transformation where ten SAP modules were implemented at six U.S. sites. At Abbott Laboratories, he completed a two-year management development program and held positions in inventory planning, plant supervision, and financial analysis. Pete is APICS certified in production and inventory control. He received an MBA in supply chain management and a BS in industrial engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

John McKeller

John M. McKeller

John M. McKeller is a senior lecturer at the Wisconsin School of Business and director of supply chain management programs in the school's Executive Education unit. His many years of experience in the supply management field included positions with Ralston Purina Company, General Dynamics-Convair, and Eli Lilly and Company.

John's academic background includes teaching at the University of San Diego, the University of California-San Diego Business Extension, and Arizona State University. While an assistant professor at the Wisconsin School of Business, John held a dual position as director of education for the Institute for Supply Management in Tempe, Arizona. His present responsibilities include supply management-related instruction for the Grainger Center and the teaching and oversight of the supply chain management curriculum in Wisconsin's Executive Education programs.

A graduate of San Diego State University, John also holds an MBA from Pepperdine University and a DBA in marketing management from the United States International University.

James Morris

James G. Morris

Jim Morris is chair of the Operations and Information Management Department and teaches courses in operations research. His research focuses on decision making and optimization modeling. His work has appeared in Annals of Operations Research, Information Systems Research, Management Science, Mathematical Programming, Naval Research Logistics, Operations Research, and Transportation Science, among others. He coauthored the book Facilities Location: Models and Methods.

Jack Nevin

John R. Nevin

Jack Nevin is executive director of the Grainger Center for Supply Chain Management at the Wisconsin School of Business. He previously chaired the Marketing Department from 1988 through 1992 and from 2008 to 2010. He served as associate dean of masters programs from 1999 to 2002. He also served as executive director of the Center for Brand and Product Management from its inception in 2003 through 2007. Jack earned a PhD in marketing from the University of Illinois.

His research is primarily concentrated in three managerial-oriented areas of marketing: marketing channels, supply chain management, and marketing strategy. His research has appeared in the Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Macromarketing, Journal of Retailing, Journal of Marketing and Public Policy, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Marketing Channels, and Law and Society Review, among others.

Jack’s teaching responsibilities include traditional full-time MBA classes on marketing channels and supply chain management. He also actively participates in executive development programs and has served as a research consultant or expert witness for a number of organizations. He has been heavily involved with the American Marketing Association and the International Society of Franchising in a professional service capacity.
