Team Wins Madison CFA Global Investment Research Challenge

A team of students representing the University of Wisconsin-Madison won the first annual Madison CFA Global Investment Research Challenge on Friday, February 19, 2010.

All four members of the team are students in the full-time Wisconsin MBA program. Michael Clerico and Varun Jain are students in Applied Security Analysis. Apurv Johari and Nishant Soni are students in Corporate Finance and Investment Banking.

The team will represent the CFA Society of Madison at the competition’s North American Regional Finals March 18-19 in New York. The CFA Global Investment Research Challenge is a stock research and analysis competition modeled after a program begun by the New York Society of Securities Analysts. It has become an international competition sponsored by CFA Institute.
