Craig Lewis, chief economist and director of the division of risk, strategy, and financial innovation of the Securities and Exchange Commission, visited the Wisconsin School of Business early March to share his knowledge and advice on finance in America and in markets around the world.
Lewis received both his master’s and Ph.D. at the Wisconsin School of Business and then took a teaching opportunity at Vanderbilt University. Though he has been gone for many years from Wisconsin, he was able to joke about the Wisconsin winters and Badger pride.
Lewis spoke about the current market economy as well as answered questions about current topics throughout the U.S. and globally with faculty, undergrads, and Corporate Finance and Investment Banking MBA students. After his lunch and learn with finance BBA students, Lewis complimented them on choosing a top institution to pursue their degrees in finance.
