Department of Real Estate and Urban Land Economics
The Global Real Estate Master is one of a full spectrum of degrees offered by the Department of Real Estate and Urban Land Economics at the Wisconsin School of Business. The GREM is a natural complement to a portfolio of offerings that includes a Bachelor’s degree, an MBA and a PhD in real estate. GREM students benefit from interactivity with the real estate students in the other programs, particularly with the Real Estate MBA students with whom they may share a classroom and extra-curricular activities.
James A. Graaskamp Center for Real Estate
The educational mission of the department is supported by the James A. Graaskamp Center for Real Estate, jointly led by Professor and Academic Director Morris A. Davis and Executive Director Michael Brennan, former CEO and founder of First Industrial Realty Trust, Inc., a publicly listed REIT. The Graaskamp Center links Wisconsin real estate faculty and students, alumni, the real estate professional community, governmental agencies, and the general public and administers the Wisconsin MBA program in real estate.
Real Estate Club
GREM students have access to the Real Estate Club and its bi-weekly speaker program, networking events, dynamic campus activities, and more. The club, which is one of the largest and most active student-run organizations on campus, facilitates meaningful interaction for over 200 students in real estate with industry-leading guest speakers and alumni. Students form lasting relationships that they will find useful in their careers as real estate professionals.
