My name is Morgan Jameson and I am a junior at the Wisconsin School of Business studying marketing and entrepreneurship. In two short weeks, I will be studying at Bocconi University– a top 10 business school in Europe and residing in the booming metropolitan city of Milan.
Choosing to attend UW Madison has been the best decision of my life. The academics, friendships, badger athletics and constant action make it hard to leave for a semester. On campus I am in the business fraternity, AKPsi, from which many of my brothers have helped inspire my drive to study abroad. I am passionate about photography and am working on an exciting entrepreneurial venture.
While abroad I cannot wait to immerse myself in school and meet new friends from Italy and universities all over the world. I am excited to expand my travel and photojournalism portfolio while absorbing the lifestyle of Milan. I look forward to hiking and exploring the many lakes around the city and enjoying the food, arts, and fashion.
Traveling internationally will undoubtedly bring about challenges. I have nerves about getting around the city and being immersed in a new culture and language I don’t speak fluently. Going into this journey, I am keeping in mind three things: go with the flow, everything always works out, be fully present– enjoy it.
My goals for abroad are to grow as a student and a person. I want to absorb as much Italian culture as I can, while capitalizing on the opportunity to explore new places.
I am excited to share this journey with everyone.
See you in Italy,
