Peer Advisors

These returned study abroad participants serve as peer advisors and are able to answer your questions about studying abroad through the Wisconsin School of Business.

Marcy Blake

Marcy is a senior from Saint Paul, Minn. studying accounting with a specialization in health care management. On campus, she is involved in alpha kappa psi business fraternity and alpha phi sorority. Marcy loves to travel and recently studied abroad through WSOB in Dublin, Ireland. This past summer she gained valuable internship experience at Medtronic in Minneapolis, Minn. and is excited to return to Madison for one more fun-filled year.

Maggie Greifenkamp

Maggie is a senior from Menomonee Falls, WI majoring in Marketing, Operations & Technology Management with a Specialization in Supply Chain Management. Maggie spent this past spring semester traveling while she studied abroad in Maastricht, Netherlands. On campus, she is involved in many student organizations including the American Marketing Association and Badger Operations Association, she is also on the board for the Supply Chain Specialization. In addition, she has gained valuable experience with summer internships at Milwaukee Tool and True Value. In her free time, Maggie loves attending Wisconsin sporting events and playing intermural soccer with her friends.

Beatrice Tan

Beatrice is a junior from Honolulu, Hawaii, and is double majoring in Actuarial Science and Risk Management and Insurance. She has just returned from her semester abroad in Rome and is more than excited to serve the BBA community as an International Programs Peer Advisor this year. On campus, she is an active member of the Actuarial Club and the council member of Pres House. In addition, Beatrice has interned with Southwestern Advantage as an independent business contractor in State College, Pennsylvania. She is now preparing to take her actuarial exams to strengthen her abilities and skills as a well-qualified actuary. After being away from campus for so long, Beatrice is excited to be back on campus again with her fellow Badgers, hanging out on the terrace, enjoying their Babcock ice cream!

Graduate Student Coordinator

The graduate student coordinator helps incoming exchange students with various tasks including the application and enrollment processes.

Louisa Ehrlich

Louisa is pursuing her Master's degree in Global Higher Education. She comes from Lincoln, NE where she earned her BA in Philosophy and English in 2012. She also studied abroad in Malta during her junior year of undergrad. Louisa will be involved as an ELPA LEADS board member at UW-Madison and is excited to experience a new city. Some of Louisa's favorite comfort foods include Indian and Chinese cuisine and she also loves learning about coffee and tea around the world. After completing her master's degree, Louisa plans to pursue a career in the field of international education.


Our administration works closely with overseas partners. These staff also advise students on study abroad programs, process course equivalencies, and maintain smooth operations of our office.

Joseph Halaas 

Joseph Halaas

Mr. Halaas joined the Wisconsin School of Business in 2010 where he manages the undergraduate study abroad and exchange programs for the Wisconsin School of Business. Before coming to the business school, Mr. Halaas worked as an international admissions counselor in the UW-Madison Office of Admissions. He also has experience teaching French and English abroad, and has worked in the private sector as deputy publisher for a business magazine for the autobody industry.

Halaas earned his B.A. in French from Denison University and his masters in French studies with a concentration in international education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. As part of his master’s degree, Mr. Halaas worked as a researcher at the Department of Multilingualism and the Centre for Teaching and Researching Foreign Languages at the University of Fribourg in Switzerland.

Brianna Cacchione 

Brianna Cacchione

Brianna Cacchione joined the BBA program as an International Programs Manager in 2018.  Before coming to the Wisconsin School of Business, Brianna was an assistant director at International Student Services (ISS) here on campus.  In 2013, she came to UW-Madison with nine years of international education experience from working at Centralia College in Washington state, Madison ESL School (MESLS), and in Japan with the Japanese Exchange and Teaching Program (JET). 

As a proud Badger alumna, she earned her B.A. in Portuguese and completed a certificate in Women’s Studies. She studied abroad in London, Brazil, and Portugal.  Several years later, she earned her M.S. Ed. through the Student Affairs Administration program at UW-La Crosse. She currently resides in New Glarus, America’s Little Switzerland, along with her husband and two boys.


Danner Cusimano Bianca 

Bianca Cusimano Danner

Bianca Cusimano Danner joined the Wisconsin School of Business in 2018 and works with International Programs for both BBA and EEMBA students. Prior to joining the International Programs team at WSB she worked at Texas A&M University in their campus wide Study Abroad Programs Office.

Bianca earned her BSBA in International Business and Marketing at Saint Louis University. As an undergraduate, she had the opportunity to study abroad in China and Panama. After completing her degree, she worked in sales in St. Louis, MO for a couple years before returning to school at the University of Texas at Austin where she received a M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration. She is originally from Illinois and is excited both to be back in the Midwest and working with business students.

Deidre Robinson

Deedie Robinson

Deedie joined International Programs in 2013 after having worked with both the BBA and MBA programs in the Wisconsin School of Business. Before coming to the business school, Deedie worked in the College of Letters and Science Dean’s Office, the School of Veterinary Medicine and the Women’s Studies program, and taught English as a Second Language to executives, college students and refugees. She has also taught Interpersonal Communication and Public Speaking.

Deedie earned a BA in English with a minor in History, an MA in Communication Theory, and completed coursework for a doctorate in Rhetorical Theory, History and Criticism. As an undergraduate she studied abroad in London.
