Are you interested in creating change on campus? This semester, the Associated Students of Madison is hosting an 8-week virtual workshop series on essential skills in grassroots organizing. Learn about what it means to be an organizer, relational organizing basics, power at the University, how to use a strategy chart to plan your campaign, messaging for different audiences, and meeting the moment you are living within. This series is a verified leadership development program that fulfills a requirement of the Leadership Certificate.
When: Thursday’s, 4:00PM-5:30PM CST, from October 1 – November 19, 2020.
Requirements:
- Attend 6/8 live Zoom workshops
- Meet weekly with your peer student mentor
- Complete a 1-2 page policy brief after the messaging workshop
- Regularly attend an ASM committee meeting
