Information for Graduates:

Confirm your graduation status: Meet with an advisor to make sure you’re on track for graduation.

Apply to graduate: Log in to the Student Center via My UW and complete the graduation application found in My Academics. You’ll need to indicate the semester in which you plan to have all of your degree and major requirements complete, as well as if you plan to attend a graduation ceremony. Visit commencement.wisc.edu for the deadline to ensure your name is printed in the commencement program.

Deadline for Spring 2020: April 3

Report your post-graduation plans: Reporting your post-graduation plans is required for all BBA graduates prior to commencement day. Once you know your plans for after graduation, please fill out the First Destination Survey in Handshake. It will be one less thing to worry about as commencement nears! 

Order your commencement gear: Rent your cap and gown by ordering online through the University Book Store. Visit commencement.wisc.edu for detailed information and the deadline to reserve your commencement attire, or call (608) 257-3784, extension 5924 if you have questions.

General Degree Details

Degree Name: Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)

Graduating with Distinction: To graduate with distinction, a student must place within the top 20% of the graduating business class. Students will be notified via email and invited to order a stole to wear at graduation.

Degree Verification: Degrees cannot be verified until after official grades have been submitted. Degrees are posted to students’ records approximately 2-4 weeks after graduation. Once degrees are posted, students may request verification by requesting an official transcript and/or typed Certificate of Graduation from the Office of the Registrar. Official Transcripts: Students may order official transcripts using the Office of the Registrar Ordering Official Transcripts page.

Diploma: Approximately 12 weeks after graduation, your diploma will be mailed to your “home address” as indicated in your Student Center (or “diploma address” if outside North America).
