Spectrom Wins Top Prize in the Collegiate Inventors Competition

A team of UW-Madison students who won the G. Steven Burrill Business Plan Competition in May 2014 won the top prize in the Collegiate Inventors Competition. Cedric Kovacs-Johnson, Chase Haider and Taylor Fahey took first place in the undergraduate category of the national competition for their invention, Spectrom, beating teams from Harvard, Johns Hopkins and Columbia.
