Comprised of representatives from the professional community, including the private, corporate, public, and non-profit sectors, the Board of Advisors is a core support group for the Graaskamp Center, advising the Center on its agenda, participating in exclusive twice-a-year board meetings and contributing to the Wisconsin Real Estate Tradition as guest lecturers and mentoring students.
Drawn by invitation only from senior executives in the real estate industry both regionally and nationally, representation on the board is sought from the array of functional areas related to real estate and urban development such as brokerage, property management, development, appraisal, investment, asset management, law, mortgage banking, lending, corporate real estate, institutional investment, syndication, planning, regulation, and design.
The board pledges to support the Graaskamp Center's activities financially through annual contributions. Member support is a critical element in the overall structure of the Center. Financial support from our board members not only reflects commitment to strengthening the future of the professional through the highest quality education and research, it sustains the Center and provides an important funding source for students and other educational and outreach initiatives.
The Graaskamp Center creates opportunities for board members, professionals, alumni, faculty, and students to meet, network, and share knowledge and expertise. Board members are invited to share their experience in the classroom, to mentor students, and to recruit students and graduates for internship and career opportunities.
