Mike JudgeHappy spring from Madison!

As the semester comes to an end, there are new beginnings associated with the CBPM and the Wisconsin School of Business. Our students are poised to start their new careers and internships with a variety of outstanding companies, which speaks to both the quality of our CBPM students and how hard they worked to earn these opportunities. We are preparing to welcome our newly accepted Class of 2019 in a few short months. We are quite pleased that the class size continues to grow; this class currently stands at 25 students for this fall. In addition, we are very excited to on-board Anne P. Massey who will be joining the Wisconsin School of Business as our new Dean this summer.

We are continually seeking to evolve and improve the experience we give our CBPM students. This spring we had a series of Applied Learning classes on how to develop a brand’s strategic plan that included a simulator which forecasted in-market results from the students’ decisions. These classes, developed in conjunction with BTS, mimicked what the global strategic firm uses with their blue chip corporate clients’ training modules.

For this year’s CBPM international experience, we went to Mexico City. While south of the border, we had excellent visits with P&G, SC Johnson, Anonimo Advertising, and the students were fortunate to have the opportunity to do in-home interviews with consumers as part of a ConAgra Mexico project. Next academic year, in order to keep up with the continually changing job market, the Center is planning to offer a certificate related to technology product management with courses in Product Design, Marketing Analytics, Project Management, and Programming.

We would love to hear from you—stories of promotions, new jobs, new moves or new kids are always welcome. We very much appreciate all you do for the CPBM, so much of our success is dependent on the generous assistance of our alumni, advisory board, and friends. Finally, please mark your calendars for the CBPM Alumni Reunion for the afternoon of November 10th and November 11th in the fall of 2017. As we finalize the event’s schedule we will be sending more detailed information and how to apply for football tickets in a couple of weeks!

On, Wisconsin!
