When I moved to Madison to attend the Wisconsin School of Business, my biggest preoccupation was finding Wellie boots and a North Face coat to get me through the winter. I was definitely a brand nerd from the beginning. The Center for Brand & Product Management helped prepare me for a career where I have the fortune of getting to explore my passion for brands every day.
After graduating from the Wisconsin School of Business in 2012, I joined Procter & Gamble in the Pet Care division as an Assistant Brand Manager. There I worked on Natura Pet, a portfolio of natural pet food brands, where I learned more than I ever could have imagined about the complexity and dynamic nature of the pet food industry.
After a couple of years, I ditched my Wellies and moved to California, where I joined Clif Bar & Company, a family and employee-owned company that shares my love of good food and sustainable food production. I am currently working as the Brand Manager of Innovation for CLIF Kid, where I help design and bring to life delicious new food products for kids.
The Center for Brand & Product Management officially kick-started my career in marketing and exposed me to the best possible education on consumers, brands, and business. From Jan Heide’s first year course to the Advisory Board's commitment to mentoring and developing students, I always found myself in good hands and with new opportunities to flex my muscles and learn. And, by far, the best thing to happen to me as an MBA was that I met my future husband, fellow badger and brand nerd John Dykhouse.
