This past November, the Center for Brand and Product Management held its first ever alumni reunion.
The festivities began with a session on WSB’s aspirations of becoming a learning hub that can educate and engage alumni long after graduation. Professor Jordan Ellenberg was next with an informal, enjoyable lecture on the power of mathematical thinking and how mathematics and statistics are at work all around us -- even in the ranking and placement of Madison’s famous food carts.
Networking and catching up with new and familiar faces continued late into the evening, with a few alumni recognized for their notable contributions to the Center. All across the great state of Wisconsin, Saturday means tailgating, so dozens of attendees and guests gathered in the Grainger Hall courtyard to catch up and toast to Wisconsin’s undefeated regular season -- over brats and Bloody Marys, of course. The afternoon ended with a 38-14 win over the Iowa Hawkeyes, giving the Badgers their 10th win of the season!
Because this was also the Class of 2019’s first Advisory Board Meeting weekend, 1st-year students got to experience the enthusiastic support of CBPM alumni and board members who work across many diverse industries. It was also a great opportunity for 2nd-year students to meet up with their alumni mentors and connect as we prepare to jump back into the working world after graduation this coming May.
While many know the commitment and strength of the WSB and CBPM network, it was truly memorable to see this community gather together on campus. On behalf of all current “Brand Badgers,” we thank you for your continued loyalty and support. We feel honored to be part of this amazing tradition and look forward to upholding it as alumni, too. On, Wisconsin!
