Holiday Greetings from Madison! As we wrap up the fall semester and head in to Winter Break we have a lot to be thankful for here at the Center for Brand and Product Management.

We are thrilled that everyone from the CBPM Class of 2015 have all started in their new positions.  It is a testament to each of the individuals from this class, as well as the program, that on average they increased their pre-MBA salary by +68% with their new positions.  I hope it is gratifying to everyone associated with the program from faculty, to staff, to alumni, and the advisory board, to know that you have contributed to our recent alumni achieving the next step in their career aspirations. 

We are especially thankful to those alumni and advisory board members that contributed to the fall semester’s CBPM Applied Learning course.  This course, where we bring in industry professionals that engage our students with “real world” case studies and challenges, is one of the key areas that differentiates the CBPM from other full-time MBA marketing programs.  Please take a few moments to look at the student blogs regarding Applied Learning classes we had this semester. If you are potentially interested in conducting a CBPM Applied Learning in the future, please do not hesitate to contact me. 

As we look to the new year, we are actively recruiting to grow the size and quality of the Brand Center. We are thankful there is a strong increase in CBPM applications over where we were a couple of years ago (+30% vs. 2 years ago), but in order to increase our yield this year we’ve added more activities and touchpoints to convince prospective Badgers that coming to the CBPM is one of the best ways to help them achieve their next career goals.
