Kristin BranchAs you read this we will have sent off the Class of 2018 on their post-MBA careers and adventures. This group of bright and talented new-alumni were a pleasure to have in our program over the past two years and we wish them all the best as they move into their careers. Some of them are staying close with new hiring partners of American Family Insurance and Brunswick and others are moving across the country to work for Adobe, United Health Care, PepsiCO, Procter & Gamble, among others. We have a couple students still available for hire so let us know if you have any open positions. Our Class of 2019 head off to their internships soon to an amazing set of employers: AbbVie, American Family Insurance, Bean Suntory, General Mills, LandsEnd, PepsiCo, Procter & Gamble, SC Johnson, Shapiro & Raj, United Health Care & Walmart.

Spring semester was a good one.  We ventured off to California over Spring Break to visit alumni & friends and develop new industry relations with the growing technology sector.  A big thank you to alum Catherine Cooper for hosting a welcome party for us and the area Wisconsin School of Business alumni.  It was a fantastic party – thank you so much for hosting us!  You can read more about it in Leslie Resch’s article.

This semester also marked the second year of our new capstone class, the Consumer Insights Consulting Practicum where students do live consumer insights work for sponsoring companies.  I thoroughly enjoy this class as it focuses on bringing all aspects of their MBA together combined with a lot of socialized learning, reflection and implementation to foster such a learning experience.  New this year we welcomed a few other marketing MBA students and it was a big success.  We look forward to expanding the class as we move forward.  Contact me if your company is interested in sponsoring the class and hosting a project.

We are excited to have our Summit this October.  We already have some fantastic speakers from Google & McKinsey and we are now welcoming speaker submissions through this Qualtrics survey.  We hope to have many alumni and industry friends discuss how they are Leading through Disruption in their careers.  I am looking forward to seeing many of you in October.  Registration is open!

Enjoy your summers.  Please let us know if you will be back in Madison as we would love to connect.  And even if you are not physically visiting, please reach out and connect anyway.  We are lucky to have such great alumni and industry friends and summer is a great time to catch up on what has been going on in your life and career.  Lastly, as always, we appreciate your financial support of the program.  If you can consider donating to give back to your alma matter, please do.   Your gifts help make our program as transformational as it was for you and your career.
