Marilou Wijdicks is an international product manager in biotechnology. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in biological sciences from Colorado State University. During her undergraduate degree, Marilou spent her summers and winter breaks working in an immunology transplantation laboratory at Mayo Clinic. She moved to Madison, Wisconsin in the summer of 2007 to pursue her career in biotechnology by assisting with stem cell research in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at University of Wisconsin-Madison. In her current role as an international product manager at Roche NimbleGen, Marilou manages a genetic product used to capture large regions in the genome. She travels all over the world and has frequented China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and several countries of the European Union. Marilou is pursuing an MBA degree to broaden her experience in both science and business. She was born Dutch and became an American citizen in 1997. After earning her MBA, Marilou plans to continue her career in biotechnology, live in other areas of the world, and one day run a business.
