Charles ZignegoSupply Chain Management

Charlie Zignego is a first year student in the Supply Chain Management Program. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 2013 with a Bachelors in Civil and Environmental Engineering.

Upon graduating, Charlie worked for an electrical design build contractor called Gephart Electric in St. Paul, Minnesota as an Assistant Project Manager. He managed the installation of electrical distribution systems throughout many projects including the Physics and Nanotechnology Building and the remodel of the Mechanical Engineering Building at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. Charlie also was sent to Biloxi, Mississippi to work on the design and construction of the Scarlett Pearl Resort and Casino.

After nearly three years with Gephart Electric, Charlie moved to Chicago in January 2016 to work for a Design Build General Contractor called Meridian Design Build as a Project Engineer. There he was responsible for hiring Subcontractors for construction projects, managing project budgets and working with Architects to design commercial warehouse facilities. Charlie was promoted after only a few months on the job to Associate Project Manager after being able to successfully lead the design and construction of a manufacturing facility that produces traffic control signage. He was then sent to Irvine, California to lead the design and construction of a five story extended stay hotel before leaving Meridian Design Build for the MBA program at the University of Wisconsin – Madison.

In his free time, Charlie enjoys following his many favorite sports teams, travelling, and watching movies.
