Wendy LeeApplied Security Analysis

Supanan (Wendy) Lee is a second year Master’s candidate in the Applied Security Analysis Program.

Over the summer, Wendy interned as an Equity Research Analyst with Mairs & Power, Inc., an investment advisory firm in St. Paul, MN. During her time there she covered Motorola Solutions (MSI), a communications infrastructure company, and pitched the idea to the firm’s investment committee. During the research process she had the opportunity to interact with sell-side analysts, industry professionals, and MSI’s director of investor relations. The experience solidified her passion for the investment management industry.

The summer prior Wendy worked on the trading floor of BNP Paribas in Manhattan as a Global Markets Summer Analyst. On her first rotation she worked closely with equity derivatives strategists, developing trade ideas from macroeconomic trends and maintaining relationships with salespeople and traders on the floor. On her second rotation she moved to the foreign exchange sales desk and pitched two FX option trade ideas to senior salespeople on the team.

Wendy passed the CFA level I in June 2018, and will be sitting for level II in June 2019. In her free time Wendy enjoys doing yoga, listening to podcasts, and spending time with her friends and family.
