Biography
Carolyn KaneReal Estate and Urban Land Economics

Carolyn Kane is excited to begin her journey as an MBA student at the Wisconsin School of Business and the James A. Graaskamp Center for Real Estate. Carolyn grew up in Minnetonka, MN and graduated cum laude from Denison University in 2017 where she majored in Economics and Communication. Upon graduation, she accepted a role with ORIX Real Estate Capital (dba RED Capital Group) in Columbus, OH.

At ORIX, Carolyn began her professional career with an 11-month formal rotational training program where she gained fluency in Affordable Housing Originations, Market Rate Originations, Senior Housing Originations, Fannie Mae Underwriting, and FHA Underwriting. Upon completion of the training, she was placed as an analyst in the Multifamily Originations team. While in this role, Carolyn structured senior and subordinated debt capital for market rate multifamily developers nationwide, reviewed operating statements, drafted deal narratives for submission across agency lenders, and conducted market analysis. While in Columbus, Carolyn also served as the mentor program chair for Urban Land Institute. 

Carolyn's energy and drive extends beyond the world of real estate. She is a former Division III national swimming champion, an avid runner and lover of travel. She looks forward to moving to Madison with her fellow classmates to further her knowledge in real estate development, investment, and data analysis, along with the fundamentals of business.
