Megan MartinApplied Security Analysis

Megan Martin graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 2018 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance.  While attending UW-Whitewater, she was presented the opportunity to work with a small student-run portfolio in an undergraduate applied investments program.  After graduation, she earned a summer internship at Phoenix Investment Adviser LLC in New York City.   During this internship, she had the opportunity to work with many talented industry professionals gaining experience in the investments field.  While Phoenix is mainly focused on high yield credit opportunities, they also have a relatively new equity portfolio.  Megan was exposed to both high yield credit and equity markets during her internship and gained significant knowledge of each.  At Phoenix, Megan’s main project was to thoroughly research and pitch (short sell) Dick’s Sporting Goods to a portfolio manager.

Outside of her work and education, Megan likes to do anything she can outdoors (especially hiking, skiing, and golfing).  She loves to travel, exploring new places and try new things as much as possible.  She is extremely excited to continue her education by obtaining her MBA through the Applied Security Analysis Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
