Rebekah ReeseStrategic Human Resource Management

Rebekah Reese discovered her passion for working with people from diverse backgrounds and understanding human behavior early in her career. She is grateful for the opportunity to return to the University of Wisconsin-Madison to pursue her MBA through the Wisconsin School of Business with an emphasis in Strategic Human Resource Management. In her first year, she strengthened her leadership and decision-making skills as well as learned how to build and implement strategies for human capital. During her summer internship at Johnson & Johnson, she was able to use these skills to drive organizational change and create better working environments as an Experienced Human Resources Leadership Development Program (E-HRLDP) intern in their office of Global Talent Management. Post-MBA graduation in May 2019, she will join Johnson & Johnson full-time.

In 2010, Rebekah graduated University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Science in Retailing. After graduation, she accepted a role as an Inventory Analyst for the Kohl’s Corporation. She was placed on the E-Commerce team where she learned about the world of internet retail, data analysis, and inventory management. Following this role, Rebekah secured a position as an Associate Vendor Manager at Amazon and moved to Seattle. There she managed the buying, marketing, and inventory planning for strategic Consumer Electronics manufacturers. After two years, she was promoted into the role of Category Manager on the AmazonFresh team. She managed and launched local merchants across the U.S. and developed training for local businesses to assist in the growth of their online sales. With a desire to learn more about the manufacturing side of retail, Rebekah took a position with Intradeco Apparel, a leading apparel and textile manufacturer. As a result of her previous Amazon experience, she managed the Amazon sales account for Intradeco until she left for business school, building her sales skills and manufacturing knowledge.

In her free time, Rebekah enjoys traveling, trying recipes from celebrity cookbooks, and cheering for Wisconsin sports teams. She recently began a role as a student board member for Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Dane County and is looking forward to being even more involved in the Madison community during the second year of her MBA studies.
