Ashley KelsickApplied Security Analysis

Ashley Kelsick is a first-year student in the Applied Security Analysis Program who recently completed her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Economics.

In 2017, Ashley interned at Madison Investment Advisors as a dynamic summer hire with business operation and equity research responsibilities. While working at Madison Investment Advisors, Ashley composed equity research reports, complied comparative marketing analysis of other asset managers and built/edited models underlying MIA’s operations. Beginning in June 2018, she began an internship at the State of Wisconsin Investment Board as an equity analyst on the global consumer discretionary portfolio. Her duties include: daily market updates, bottoms-up security analysis and financial modeling. She is most intrigued by the retail industry.

During her undergraduate career, Ashley was a varsity letter winner for Boston College and the University of Wisconsin’s Women’s basketball team. She earned Team Defensive Player of The Year, All-Academic Athletic honors in the ACC and BIG TEN, in addition to the Impact Award for most completed volunteer hours. She plans to carry the invaluable habits and skills garnered from competitive athletics into asset management.
