Anna StrandArts Administration

Anna Strand enters the Bolz Center for Arts Administration as a fundraising professional with demonstrated experience managing development programs, corporate partnerships, and major events for nonprofit and political organizations.

 

Most recently, Anna was the Development Director at REAP Food Group, a nonprofit working to build a local food system that is healthy, just, and sustainable in Southern Wisconsin. Prior to working at REAP, Anna was a Development Director at Special Olympics Wisconsin and a political and nonprofit fundraising consultant for progressive organizations in Washington, DC. Her first job out of college was teaching 1st grade as a Teach for America Corps member in St. Louis. Through these diverse career opportunities, Anna has developed a robust fundraising skill set and passion for organizations improving local communities and the world through innovative programs and partnerships.

 

Anna attended Indiana University at Bloomington where she majored in Political Science and Art History and served in pivotal student leadership roles during President Obama's first campaign. Anna is active in the community and the arts and has served as a docent at the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art and the Smithsonian American Art Museum.

 

With an MBA from the University of Wisconsin, Anna seeks to deepen her knowledge of financial and organizational management and connect her nonprofit experience to private business practices to increase the capacity of arts, environmental, and public health programs.
