Duc Chau is excitedly looking forward to pursuing his MBA at the A.C Nielsen Center for Marketing Research of the Wisconsin School of Business, aiming to enrich his professional skills and life experiences in a developed foreign country. Growing in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, he went to Hoa Sen University where he earned his bachelor degree in hospitality management. During his college time, he actively involved in various student and community activities, such as taking a role of President of SIFE Hoa Sen University or becoming a support associate for Catalyst Foundation.

Upon graduation, he joined the Asian Graduate Scheme of Total Group, working as a Business Development Executive for Motorcycle Engine Oil (MCO) segment of Total Vietnam and became a Marketing Executive of the same segment after 8 months. Then since 2016, he was promoted to the MCO Market Segment Manager position, taking responsibilities of planning and execution of brand and trade strategies and of managing the effectiveness of the distribution system. During his time in Total, he has gained extensive marketing expertise in the retail market of oil and gas, has learnt to sharpen his leadership and team work abilities, as well as gain international exposure working with a cross-border team.

From his experience, he realized that the majority of local small and medium enterprises grow their business solely on the basis of intuition, lacking an understanding of data analysis and how to use data to drive business growth, and are deficient in strategic consulting to expand their business in the long run. Thus, with the MBA in Market Research from the Wisconsin School of Business, he wants to establish a specialized advisory firm, leveraging the use of data analytics and research, to help consult the SMEs in Vietnam and in the South East Asia to achieve sustainable business successes.
