Christian GeroOperations and Technology Management

Christian Gero is thrilled to pursue his MBA at UW-Madison’s Erdman Center for Operations and Technology Management. Originally hailing from the Washington D.C. metropolitan area, he moved to the Midwest to attend Northwestern University.

Christian’s professional experience began in 2010 after he completed his undergraduate degree early to accept a position at the GRAMMY Award-winning live music record label, MunckMusic. Finishing his tenure as the company’s General Manager, he worked with clients including The Allman Brothers Band, Eric Clapton, and Carlos Santana, while simultaneously disrupting the recorded music industry by providing a quality outlet for under-represented and disadvantaged musicians. For his work, Gero garnered an NAACP Image Award nomination for Best World Music Album in 2012.

In 2015, Christian moved to the great state of Wisconsin and took a position with the Waukesha-based creative technology company, Majic Productions. He successfully managed Majic’s retail sales division by developing and implementing an e-commerce platform with a software-based inventory management system. With the support of ownership, Christian founded BlackBox TSI in early 2016; a lean technical systems integration startup that focused on a user-centered approach to integrated audio-visual technology.

With an MBA from the OTM program, Christian hopes to hone his ability to make data-driven business decisions while remaining true to his roots of creativity and problem solving. He looks forward to continuing his collaborative track record of leading teams through the intersection of technology, viability, and user experience.

In his free time, Christian enjoys rock climbing, cooking, and blasting loud music on road trips with his wife, Deandra.
