Biography
Rachel KulkarniBrand and Product Management

Rachel Kulkarni graduated in 2006 from the University of Colorado – Boulder with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Marketing. After graduation, she excepted a roll in nonprofit development for Morris Animal Foundation in Denver, Colorado. There she learned valuable skills in market segmentation and customer retention strategies. She was later promoted to the organization’s first-ever Major Gift Officer where she developed the standard operating procedures for moves management and major gift solicitation. She was selected to collaborate with an outside consulting firm to conduct a feasibility study for a $30M capital campaign, which launched a year later after her research concluded. Following this role, Rachel secured a position with the University of Colorado Foundation as a Development Associate for the athletics department where she collaborated with a cross-functional team to manage the fundraising for the CU ski team, Ralphie’s Kids Round-up and the Buffalo Belles. She retired from full-time work in 2008 to raise her children, but soon was recruited by small local charitable organizations to assist with projects ranging from marketing and communications to brand development and strategic planning. This led to her creation of Kulkarni Nonprofit Consulting. Her work as a nonprofit consultant honed her skills in communication, leadership and financial literacy. 

Outside of work, Rachel enjoys spending time outdoors sailing, hiking and cheering on her favorite sports teams. She is a connoisseur of the arts and loves the ballet, theatre and visiting exhibits at the museum. She is a passionate supporter of the local food movement and can often be found at the local farmers markets wherever she travels around the world. She is proud to join the Wisconsin School of Business’ Center for Brand and Product Management, where she can further develop her marketing expertise and cross-functional leadership skills.
