Brian ClearyReal Estate and Urban Land Economics

Brian Cleary comes to the Wisconsin School of Business - James A Grasskamp Center for Real Estate to pursue an MBA with the Class of 2019.  Brian completed his undergraduate BS degree in Engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder in 2011.  Upon graduation, Brian accepted a position at Randall Lamb Associates, an Engineering Consulting firm based in the San Diego area.

 At Randall Lamb, Brian joined the Mechanical Team working as a design engineer in sectors including Public Agency (NAVFAC, USACE, GSA), Healthcare, Education, Hospitality and Laboratories.  After obtaining his Mechanical Professional Engineering (PE) License, Brian turned his attention to Project Management and Owner Representative Services and helped create two new divisions within the company.  Brian then started to lead engineering and construction teams on large projects including a $27 Million Dollar Public Elementary School, and several multi-million dollar projects for the Navy (NAVFAC) and Army Corps of Engineers (USACE).  While Managing the Energy Division, Brian reviewed monthly financial statements and billings, evaluated workload outlook, and developed marketing content and client acquisition strategies.  Brian was an active participant in several professional groups, giving presentations for ASHRAE, BOMA, as well as the City of San Diego.  He also served on two national Committee’s for the Air Barrier Association of America (ABAA).

Upon graduation Brian intends to utilize his previous knowledge of the construction industry to be a leader in the fields of real-estate finance, construction, and development.
