Hans HellandReal Estate and Urban Land Economics

Hans Helland is thrilled to be joining the James A. Graaskamp Center for Real Estate at the Wisconsin School of Business, Class of 2019.  Hailing from Wisconsin Dells, WI, Hans gained first-hand experience in the hospitality industry working summers in the Waterpark Capital of the World, sparking his interest in hotel and resort development at a young age.

After graduating from the University of Notre Dame with his BBA in Finance, he moved to Detroit and spent two years working within the Quicken Loans family of companies, learning about residential real estate from an industry leader.  Hans then received an opportunity to join a new waterpark resort development project in the Pocono Mountains in northeastern Pennsylvania.  After the successful opening of Camelback Lodge, he stayed on the finance team for a further two years, developing his leadership skills in a high demand market.

Hans is excited to make the move to Madison, and is looking forward to gaining the skills necessary to become a leading property developer within the hospitality industry.  In his free time, Hans enjoys spending his time outdoors hiking and kayaking.
