Aaron HammerOperations and Technology Management

Aaron Hammer is joining the Wisconsin School of Business and the Erdman Center for Operations and Technology Management as a member of the 2019 Class. Originally from Denver, Colorado, he attended the Colorado School of Mines and earned a degree in Environmental Engineering with minors in Energy and Economics. During three years of his undergraduate coursework, he held an environmental engineering internship at an electric utility provider and oil and gas producer, Black Hills Energy.

Upon completion of his undergraduate degree, Aaron joined QEP Energy where, among other things, he led the company’s annual calculation and reporting effort of greenhouse gas emissions to the Environmental Protection Agency. Through his collegiate and professional experiences, Aaron has developed a passion for both energy and the environment. With his MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Aaron hopes to make a positive impact in both of those areas and hopes to transition his energy career towards renewable development. Aaron also brings with him a strong entrepreneurial drive that he hopes to foster during his MBA experience.

Aaron’s 2016 marriage to his wife Devon, who has family ties to Wisconsin, has solidified his commitment to the Packers.  In his spare time, Aaron can usually be found woodworking, biking, or with playing with McFly, his Pembroke Welsh Corgi.
