Jian HanOperations and Technology Management

Jian Han is excited to join the Operations and Technology Management (OTM) MBA program in University of Wisconsin – Madison to continue his journey of self-actualizing. This journey started since 2008 when Jian left his motherland China to explore different cultures and pursue MS degree of Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University. His study and research focusing on power systems at ASU stimulated his interest in the power management and manufacturing industry. Following his passion, Jian moved to Milwaukee and joined Eaton Cooper Power System, a global manufacturer of electrical products, in 2010 after graduation.

 

Over four years of hands-on lab experience as a Test & Reliability Engineer at Eaton, Jian built solid product knowledge and demonstrated strong problem solving ability. With the recognition in Eaton, Jian rotated through various positions in engineering department from Product Engineer to Project Engineer between 2015 and 2016, gaining wider spectrum of business and deeper insight of engineering function. During this period, Jian led a technical team and successfully launched the #1 cost saving project of the year with $0.9 million annual saving within an aggressive schedule of 16 months. With solid technical background and project management skills, Jian was promoted as Test Lab Supervisor in 2016, managing a team of test engineers, executing on various test programs, and improving lab processes.
