Liam NarozanickCorporate Finance and Investment Banking

With years of experience in marketing, finance, and sales in the construction and finance industries under his belt, Liam Narozanick will join the Nicholas Center and University of Wisconsin MBA Class of 2019 to further study Corporate Finance and Investment Banking. As an undergraduate, Liam attended Elon University in Elon, NC from 2011 to 2016. He originally began as a communications major, looking to edit commercials and films after having learned Adobe After Effects in high school. By the end of his Freshman year, he had taken an Intro to Finance course with an ex-Investment Banker, falling in love with IPO’s, financial institutions, and the markets. Simultaneously, instead of continuing his studies in French, Liam began studying Japanese, looking for a new linguistic challenge.

In his junior year, he studied abroad at Kansai Gaidai University in Osaka, JP for four months, before coming back and graduating in 2016. Upon graduating, he chose to take a full-time position at American Athletic Track and Turf, a niche sports-construction company, in the Finance department, tracking work-in-progress, working capital, and bid results. Unbeknownst to him, he would soon be assigned to a leading role in the marketing department, helping set up CRM databases for the sales team and creating a new website through collaborating with an outside marketing firm, SEMGeeks.

Since then, he has worked on projects across the whole company and has seen just how much he still needs to learn. He is returning to academia to greatly enhance his analytical and mathematical skills, with the goal of starting his own company and being able evaluate the viability and capital requirements of new projects.
