Ellen ChenStrategic Human Resource Management

Ellen Chen will earn her MBA degree from the University of Wisconsin with a concentration in Strategic Human Resource Management. Born and raised in China, Ellen received her bachelor’s degree in management and minor degree major in law from East China University of Politic Science and Law. She worked as a key member of the school’s Students’ Union and led a team of dozens of students to support the related works. The experience she obtained in the Students’ Union drove her to further explore the world of human resource management.

Upon graduation, Ellen joined Korn/Ferry International, one of the top human capital consulting firms globally, as a research analyst in executive search function. With dedication in c-suite positions recruitment, she was actively involved in searching and screening, market research, talent report drafting and business development. Ellen successfully handled over one hundred search projects looking for Country President or Functional Head in but not limited to life sciences, consumer, education, and NGO industries across Asia region.

Afterwards, Ellen moved to Eli Lilly & Company China HQ as a member of the talent acquisition team to expand her understanding in human resource function. While at Lilly, Ellen was not only responsible for the standard full cycle talent recruitment, but also was engaged in recruitment process optimization, interview training and global leadership recruitment projects.

In her spare time, Ellen enjoys cooking and working out. She also enjoys travelling to different countries and experiencing the colorful life under manifold cultures. With the experience and knowledge obtained at Wisconsin School of Business, Ellen believes her career goal to be a strong and dynamic HR business partner can be further achieved.
