Cole HylandApplied Security Analysis

Cole Hyland is currently a senior majoring in Finance and a first-year student in the Applied Security Analysis Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Throughout his first and second undergraduate years, Cole interned at Merrill Lynch where he assisted a billion-dollar wealth management team. During this time, Cole co-managed two proprietary investment strategies, conducted portfolio reviews with clients, and oversaw a $50MM structured lending deal for a client’s business. Most recently, Cole had the opportunity to intern with the equity research team at Isthmus Partners. In this role, he assessed company fundamentals, identified catalysts, and created valuation models to determine intrinsic value estimates.

Outside of work, Cole serves as pitch logistics chair and portfolio analyst for the Capital Management Club. Cole also enjoys traveling, skiing, playing golf, attending Badger football games with friends, and is a voracious reader. He looks forward to pursuing the CFA designation in the coming years.
