Cole HylandApplied Security Analysis

Cole Hyland is currently a second-year student in the Applied Security Analysis Program. During his time at the University of Wisconsin – Madison, Cole has been an active member of the Capital Management Club (Pitch Logistics Chair), Finance and Investment Society (Treasurer), and currently serves as a Teaching Assistant for Finance 300.

Throughout 2016 and 2017, Cole interned at Merrill Lynch where he assisted a billion-dollar wealth management team. Cole assisted with the selection, due diligence and monitoring process of investment managers utilized by the team.

In the summer of 2018, Cole had the opportunity to intern with the equity research team at Isthmus Partners. In this role, he assessed company fundamentals, identified catalysts, and created valuation models to determine intrinsic value estimates. 

During the summer of 2019, Cole interned at Credit Suisse in New York City in the Equity Research division. Cole worked with the communications infrastructure and equipment team where he got experience in initiating coverage on a company, updating models, writing reports on a variety of topics, and covering earnings. Cole has accepted a full-time offer as an equity research analyst at Credit Suisse to begin in July 2020.

Cole enjoys traveling, skiing, golf, attending Badger football games, and is a voracious reader.
