Biography
Kathryn EleniusMarketing Research

Kathryn Elenius is excited to join the Wisconsin Business School and A.C. Nielsen Center for Marketing Research class of 2019.

Kathryn first became interested in the field of market research during an undergraduate internship in Ethiopia. She noticed that many of the NGOs in the region were taking action without developing an understanding of what the consumers of their services prioritized. This problem has stuck with Kathryn ever since and, after several years in the education field, has finally pulled her back to graduate school. She looks forward to developing the skills with the A.C. Nielsen Center to utilize market research in for-profit and non-profit settings. After she has worked in the field to establish a concrete understanding of practical market research, Kathryn intends to return for her doctorate in order to develop tools to better reach non-traditional populations and to teach in a post-secondary institution.

Kathryn graduated cum laude in 2012 from Arizona State University's Barret Honors College with a B.S. in Marketing and a B.A. in Chemistry. Since then, she has been self-employed as a full-time tutor with students from grade school through graduate school. In her free time, Kathryn enjoys reading and writing fiction, taking road trips, and doing recreational algebra.
