Alex VaughnOperations and Technology Management

Alex Vaughn graduated from The State University of Oneonta with a Bachelor of Science in Professional Accounting while attending SUNY Oneonta he was a four-year varsity athlete on the Men’s Swimming and Diving Team. Then he furtherer his education by graduating from Northeastern University with a Master of Science in Accounting in 2014. After graduation, he accepted a role with Deloitte as an audit associate on the financial services and commercial teams. In this role, Alex worked with public companies across various service lines, completing annual audits of their financial statements and analyzed their internal controls. These experiences honed his problem solving and communication skills working along side his team members and clients. After Deloitte, Alex moved to ZMK Construction Inc, a family owned heavy civil construction company in upstate New York. At ZMK, Alex worked in a supervisory and project management position. During his time at ZMK, Alex was able to improve upon his communication and leadership skills while overseeing more than $5 million worth of heavy civil new construction and demolition work.

Outside of his work responsibilities, Alex is involved in numerous extracurricular activities; he helped create and coach a youth club swimming team at Windsor Central High School. Where he spends most of his time teaching kids proper swimming technique and about nutrition for young athletes. In his spare time, Alex enjoys playing golf, traveling, swimming, cooking, and watching football. He is excited to pursue his MBA at the Wisconsin School of Business Erdman Center for Operations and Technology Management to strengthen his product and general management talents.
