Biography
Michael HilfikerCorporate Finance and Investment Banking
Michael is pursuing an MBA at the University of Wisconsin in the Nicholas Center for Corporate Finance and Investment Banking.  Prior to enrolling in the MBA program, Michael developed his technical, analytical, and leadership skills during more than three years in economic and litigation consulting and six years in the Wisconsin Air National Guard as an Aerospace Propulsion Journeyman.
 
Upon graduating from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse with a B.S. in Economics (Economic Honors Program), Michael embarked on his professional career in Chicago.  Beginning at NERA Economic Consulting, Michael specialized in forensic accounting investigations, antitrust due diligence, intellectual property disputes, and transfer pricing litigation.  After two years at NERA, Michael accepted an offer with KPMG LLP in the Economic and Valuation Services – Transfer Pricing Practice as a Senior Associate.  At KPMG LLP, Michael specialized in applying technical residual profit models, business development modelling, and dispute resolution.  Michael then returned to NERA to accept a lead analyst role on a high-profile transfer pricing engagement and gained exceptional experience in transfer pricing dispute resolution.
 
Michael is looking forward to working with faculty and peers to further develop his technical, analytical, and leadership skills in his pursuit of a career involving solving complex business, economic, and legal issues.  In his spare time, Michael enjoys reading, traveling, running, and cooking.
