Maureen serves as an Advisor at Strategic Philanthropy, Ltd. where she supports individuals and private family foundations in maximizing the effectiveness of their charitable giving in the areas most important to them. It ranges from helping a donor understand their interests and passions and seeking out organizations that directly align, making a one-time significant gift, strengthen a family foundation's governance, decision-making, and processes, staffing their foundation and managing their year-round grantmaking or reshaping their overall strategy. She brings a deep knowledge of the inner workings of non-profits and private foundations to her role with the firm, particularly around strategy, governance, nonprofit due diligence, and grant proposal review.

Maureen has worked closely with organizations in Chicago, IL, Madison, WI and Washington, DC where she has helped strengthen their operational efficiencies and measure their impact through financial analyses, programmatic assessments and community surveys. She has successfully facilitated collaborations between funders, organizations and local government officials to help achieve systemic change, particularly in the arts and culture, education, youth development and jobs training fields with organizations including After School Matters, Hinsdale Center for the Arts, Any Given Child Madison (a collaboration between the City of Madison, the Overture Center for the Arts and the Madison Metropolitan School District), the Association of Performing Arts Presenters and the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

Maureen has a B.A. from Northwestern University and an M.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison Bolz Center for Arts Administration. Maureen has served on the Board of Directors of the YWCA in Madison, WI and on the Auxiliary Council of the Steppenwolf Theatre Company in Chicago, IL.
