Maggie Kuhn Jacobus is the executive director of Creative Alliance Milwaukee (CAM). The mission of CAM is to foster a more creative Milwaukee. It achieves this mission by by introducing creative process, creative thinking, creative problem-solving, creatives and creativity into every sector, from education to government, corporate to nonprofit, and across all sectors within the economy. The Spot 4MKE is a Placemaking initiative of Creative Alliance Milwaukee. It is the result of a cross-disciplinary, community-wide creative problem-solving process around a desolate, City-owned surface parking lot in the heart of downtown Milwaukee to determine the best tactics to bring creativity and vibrancy to the area. Kuhn Jacobus has extensive experience working with the creative, business, funding, entrepreneurial, start up, non-profit, and public sector communities, with a proven record of developing strategic collaborations and partnerships. She has a strong reputation as an out-of-the-box, big picture thinker and innovator, with the ability to connect the dots among disparate audiences, ideas or pieces of information to create new or added value opportunities and collaboration. She holds both a BSJ and MSJ from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.
