Mr. Ericson Chan is the Regional Chief Information Officer, Greater China and North Asia of Standard Chartered Bank and the Non-Executive Director of Scope International China.

Ericson started his career in the U.S. before joining Standard Chartered Bank in 1998. He held various executive positions in Hong Kong, Singapore and Shanghai, including Global Head of Consumer Banking Technology and Group CIO for Sales and Service Channels.

Ericson is committed to improving efficiency and productivity while delivering values and services that customers want. Customer experience and innovation are high on his agenda as banking products and services get more commoditized and get disrupted. Ericson believes technology and online business offer a lot of opportunities to transform the banking industry.

Ericson is an advocate on Fintech development and on environmental protection. He is on the board of Jane Goodall Institute Hong Kong, on the World Economic Forum Financial Disruption Committee, and on the HK General Chamber of Commerce Fintech Group. Ericson was also awarded “China Excellent CIO” by CIOCEO Magazine in 2012.

Ericson holds a bachelor degree in Computer Science at University of Wisconsin in the United States and an Edgewood MBA degree.
