Where General Management Begins

How do you become a brand manager? You begin by applying to The Center for Brand and Product Management. Wisconsin’s brand center is the country’s first and only MBA program specializing in training the next generation of brand and product managers. Established by Software Publishing Corporation’s former Vice President of Marketing Signe Ostby and her husband, Intuit Inc. founder Scott Cook, the brand center is where a career in brand management begins and general management follows.

The first year brand management curriculum gives students the luxury of enrolling in both general management and marketing courses, providing students with the best brand management education in the country. Students have access to case competitions like the CIBER MBA International Business Competition, company visits, and applied learning sessions with top industry executives. Our hands-on advisory board provides learning opportunities, offers mentoring, and facilitates employment opportunities.

Between the first and second year, 100% of the brand center’s students intern at top tier consumer package goods companies and 96% find full-time positions before graduation. CBPM students are successful during recruiting season because they earn more than an MBA. Students leave with a network, a community, and a portfolio of applied learning experiences.
