Joseph (Joe) Raffiee is a doctoral candidate in the Management and Human Resources Department at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He earned his MBA from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. His research interests lie at the intersection of strategy and entrepreneurship with a focus on human capital, employee mobility, and microfoundations. Joe's research has been published or is forthcoming in the Academy of Management Journal, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, the Academy of Management Perspectives and has been covered by media outlets such as Harvard Business Review, The Huffington Post, and Inc. Magazine.
Joe's dissertation (proposal defended May, 2015) examines how employee mobility and entrepreneurship influence the stability of client relationships and subsequent firm performance in knowledge-intensive industries such as professional services. His committee is comprised of Russ Coff (Chair), Hart Posen, Martin Ganco, Susan Yackee, and Rajshree Agarwal.
