Certificate Programs

Business, Environment, and Social Responsibility (BESR)

The certificate is collaboration between the Wisconsin School of Business and the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies. Students must complete 12 credits at the Wisconsin School of Business to satisfy the requirements of the certificate; at least 6 of those credits must be from the following list:

  • OTM 770: Introduction to Quality and Productivity (4 cr)

Entrepreneurship

Students are required to complete 12 credits at the Wisconsin School of Business to satisfy the requirements of the certificate; at least 6 of those credits must include MHR 722 Entrepreneurial Management and one course from the following list:

Strategic Innovation

The required foundation course, advanced innovation coursework and electives from broader campus will total a minimum of 12 credits. Students will:

  1. Take one required foundation course, MHR 715: Strategic Management in Life and Engineering Sciences
  2. Choose at least 3 additional credits from a list of Wisconsin School of Business advanced innovation coursework
  3. Select up to 6 credits of additional courses from other elective coursework or advanced innovation coursework.
