New Actuarial Capstone Program Announced

The Actuarial Science, Risk Management and Insurance department in the Wisconsin School of Business recently added an exciting new program. The Capstone Certificate in Actuarial Science is a 9-month tailored program that strategically prepares students for a career as an actuary. Program director, Professor Edward (Jed) Frees, emphasizes, “The Capstone is not a degree program; it is a certificate program that prepares students to pass the required actuarial credentialing exams.”

The new Capstone program emphasizes flexibility and a relatively short time to completion. Students can choose either a full-time or part-time learning track based upon their availability and timetable. Graduates will receive transcripts from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and will gain access to many resources offered by the Wisconsin School of Business. Applications are currently being accepted for the Fall semester 2011. For more information about the Capstone Certificate in Actuarial Science please visit our website.

Actuary is frequently listed among the top jobs in the U.S. by the Jobs Rated Almanac.
