Thanksgiving and Roses by Gail Casey, MBA 2012

Hi,

I’m Gail and just celebrated my first American Thanksgiving!  Although we celebrate Thanksgiving in Canada (in October) I missed it this year and was happy to get turkey and all the fixings this past weekend – even if it was a little late.

With a few cancelled classes on Wednesday we were lucky enough to have an extra long weekend and the timing couldn’t have been better.   November has flown by in a whirlwind of group assignments, field trips, and some intense interviewing; we all needed a break to catch up on fun, sleep, and a little homework.

After we all recovered from Thursday’s eating and Friday’s shopping, Saturday was the final Game Day of the regular football season.  The cold didn’t dampen our spirits as the Badgers won against Northwestern (70 – 23!) and walked away as Big Ten Champs (and hopefully secured their spot in the Rose Bowl).

We’re now in the last 3 week stretch before Christmas break and gearing up for 4 finals, a research presentation, and our Integrated Company Analysis presentations.   Wish us luck!!
