Please use the upcoming application deadlines and the application requirements as a guide when completing your online application.

Re-Applicants

If you applied to the Wisconsin MBA for Fall 2012 and would like to re-apply for the current enrollment term, please follow the steps below.

Applicants who applied for a term before Fall 2012 must submit all new supporting materials.

• Create a new application ID and password, complete a new online application, pay the application fee of $56.00.
• If you would like to reuse materials from your previous year’s application, please email us at mba@bus.wisc.edu and indicate which components of your original application you would like us to reuse, such as letters of recommendation, transcripts, and test scores.
• If you determine that you would like to submit new materials, such as letters of recommendation, transcripts, and test scores, please submit them online with the application.

A Test of English as a Foreign Language

Applicants whose native language is not English or whose undergraduate instruction was not in English must complete either the Internet-based (100 or higher) or paper-based (600 or higher) TOEFL. Please direct the Educational Testing Service to forward your test results taken within two years of your intended start term to the University of Wisconsin-Madison (institution code: 1846). International applicants with undergraduate degrees from U.S. universities may request a waiver of this requirement.

Evidence of adequate financial resources for the anticipated duration of the program for international applicants. This information is required for visa documentation by the federal government and is only required upon admission to the Wisconsin MBA Program.  This document is not required as a part of the application. The mission of the Consortium for Graduate Study in Management, an alliance of leading American business schools, is to enhance diversity in business education and leadership by helping reduce the serious underrepresentation of African Americans, Hispanic Americans and Native Americans in both business and business school.

As one of the founding members of the Consortium the Wisconsin MBA has been committed to this mission since 1966.

Students who have done significant work toward providing opportunities for African Americans, Hispanic Americans and Native Americans are invited to apply through the Consortium.

U.S. Citizens and permanent residents who can demonstrate a commitment to the Consortium’s mission can use the Consortium’s coordinated application to apply to the University of Wisconsin Madison, Wisconsin MBA and compete for a Consortium Fellowship.

Consortium Fellowships are provided by the Wisconsin MBA and include full tuition, health insurance and a stipend for the duration of your MBA.

Applications are available through the Consortium website. Consortium application deadlines for Fall 2012 are November 15 and January 5. Specific instructions for the Consortium application can be found on the Consortium Application Instructions.

JD/MBA Program

Applicants to the joint JD/MBA program must be admitted independently to both the Law School and the School of Business. Admissions materials are available through the Law School website. Law School Admissions Deadline: April 1

Dual Degree Programs

Any two programs at the University can be pursued as a dual degree. You must apply and gain admission independently to each program. Once admitted, an advisor from each program will assist with the development of a comprehensive degree plan. There may be no more than 25 percent overlap of credits between the two programs. Contact the department for which you are seeking admission directly for admissions materials and deadlines.
