With the official end of the recession, hiring top talent remains a key driver for future success. We know how important it is to have talented employees who are ready and able to make an immediate impact in business. That’s why the Wisconsin MBA remains committed to its specialization model, which focuses on preparing students academically and practically in functional areas.
The value of our graduates continues to shine. We saw compensation packages jump more than 10% for graduates. By three months after graduation, 91% of our class of 2011 graduates had found employment.
A few highlights from this year’s Wisconsin MBA class:
- Starting salaries and placement both increased, with overall compensation packages for a majority of students exceeding $100,000.
- A total of 129 different organizations hired 206 students for internships and/or full-time positions, including 35 organizations that hired multiple students.
- Employers who hired Wisconsin MBAs (interns and graduates) for the first time in recent years include Chevron, Medtronic, BlackRock, Genentech, and Oracle.
- The top overall hiring organizations remain employers with a history of success at Wisconsin: Johnson & Johnson, Procter & Gamble, General Mills, State of Wisconsin Investment Board, Bank of America, and Cisco.
The Wisconsin MBA program is close-knit, giving us the ability to know our students on a personal level. This intimacy allows us to work closely and personally with employers to help them identify the right talent easily. We invite you to use the MBA Career Management Center as a resource for recruiting.
