The NEA explores ‘innovation’

by Andrew Taylor Friday, February 3, 2012

The latest issue of the National Endowment for the Arts magazine explores the fertile ground of ‘innovation’ — with a particular focus on artistic practice. Featured are discussions with artists such as Julie Taymor, Fred Dust, Josh Neufeld, and others. And the online edition features bonus multimedia about Tony Orrico, Meredith Monk, Low Anthem, and Meejin Yoon.

Innovation is all the rage these days — in foundation offices, board rooms, back rooms, and business schools  – given the changing nature of our current systems, and the need to rethink and reframe old ways of doing things. It’s cool to have a national, artistic perspective on an important conversation.
