All full-time Wisconsin MBA students have the opportunity to obtain international business experience during student-planned and led  trips through the Wisconsin MBA Global Business Program.  The Global Business Program has offered study tours to:

  • Argentina
  • Brazil
  • Chile
  • Dubai
  • Japan
  • South Africa
  • Turkey
  • United Arab Emirates
  • Vietnam

Through personal meetings with senior business executives, governmental leaders, nonprofit directors and respected educators, Wisconsin MBA students prepared themselves for global business by enhancing their knowledge and professional skills. In addition, by supplementing the business meetings with cultural and social activities, students acquire a holistic understanding of a foreign country or region while gaining an appreciation of foreign customs. The Global Business Program also allows students to develop friendships with other first- and second-year students across all of the career specializations.

Student Experience

MBA Global Trip 2011, led by our Center Director Cindie Adams was to Turkey, my country. I joined my friends during some of the company visits. This was very important for me because the MBA program is not just the courses you get but also the life experiences you will remember when you look back. We also had corporate visits with Cindie and a group of peers in the Bay Area. We had a chance to see the working environment at Google in Mountain View and Palo Alto Networks. This was not only a great opportunity for networking but also a way of understanding the corporate culture in the United States."
