Providing Real World Experience

Founded in 1970, the Applied Security Analysis Program (ASAP) has a long history of sucess in combining traditional investment theory with real-life investment practice. Many of our students receive CFA certification while earning an MBA. The first year focuses on training students in the skills and tools needed to conduct investment research, including a course taught solely by investment managers. The second year focuses on teaching the rigors of investments through actual portfolio management - over $50 million in fixed-income assets and equities, to be exact. Students do not have a "safety net" as they walk the tightrope of active portfolio management. The Hawk Center Advisory Board serves as the client for the equity portfolios and also provides oversight for the fixed income portfolios. Board members, our tight-knit Alumni Network and Corporate Partners of the program are actively involved as mentors and advisors throughout the two-year program.
